Cobriza, Lily's full sister, came to Akal Ranch on February 21, 2007. She is nicely gaited and saddle trained.
She is confirmed in foal to Paisano for a July 2008 foal.
Cora is very responsive on the ground and under saddle, almost to a fault. At first, she was quite spooky and twitchy when touched.
She settled down after being with me for a couple of months. I started riding her and found that riding a gaited horse was fun! We've
done a few trail rides and a clinic, where Cora was just a star. She really made me proud.
She load and hauls great, stands for mounting, bathing, etc.
I can trim her without haltering her and her
feet are fabulous. She is sound and goes barefoot with boots for very rocky trails. Cobriza takes
to new things well, given the chance to see that she is braver than she thinks.
Cora is a sensitive and intelligent mare and I have really enjoyed working with her. She had challenged me to become a more
sensitive horseperson, always a good thing.

October 7, 2007 - Cora and I go out for a great trail ride with Linda September 2, 2007 - A good start to fall today with some nice cleaned up photos of Cora after her first soapy bath.
August 18th, 2007 - Cobriza and Lily go on a beautiful two hour trail ride at Mt. Pisgah. Cora is doing
great under saddle and really does well as the leader. We went down to the river over a steep bank of loose sand. She led the way.
August 13th, we attended a clinic with Diane Sept, a Connected Riding instructor specializing in gaited horses. Here is a portion of our lesson
showing Cora's gait.
July 14, 2007 - Trail riding at Tired Dog Ranch. I took Cora out twice. We didn't get many photos. The camera ran out of batteries, but there is a video on youtube.
May 18, 2006 - Cora came along to hang out while Lily went in some trail classes at a schooling show, then practiced on the course.
