Welcome

In addition to being the friend and owner of Spanish Mustang horses, Simrat Khalsa is a creator of images, an Artist. Feel free to visit the About page to learn more about me and the links below to see my work.

Art by Simrat

Fine Art by Simrat – my new gallery of work, still in development, so check back over time.

Photography - view and purchase photographs and Fine Art reproductions as prints or on various products. I am available in the southern Willamette Valley, Oregon for on farm photo shoots. Just drop me a line.

Etsy Shop - Purchase original Artwork. Currently available – very small edition prints, handmade books and oil paintings. More to be added, as I get my photography area set up.

Cafe Press Shop – I have some Spanish Mustang images here and a couple of paintings available on all the great products that Cafe Press offers. If you see an image on my other sites and want a T-shirt or something, just let me know. I’ll add it to my Cafe Press product line for you.

Flickr Photostream – Just fleshing this out lately… Photos, and not just of horses.

I am also on Twitter. Please follow, if you are so inclined. I don’t automatically follow everyone who follows me. I will follow most people back, unless they only seem to be there to market their wares (and it’s something that I’m not interested in, like real estate in VA). If your tweets don’t add to my twitter experience, and clutter my feed, I may unfollow you. It’s nothing personal! I just need to moderate my online life to enjoy it. Thanks for understanding.

If you want to see my update on FaceBook, check here … Facebook

I have MySpace and Blogger pages, but don’t really do a lot with them. They are really there, just to have a presence. Until Twitter came along, social media really didn’t interest me much.

What else?

In my day job, I am a data analyst and project manager at a mid-sized natural foods manufacturer. I’ve been on the net for quite some time, maybe late ’80′s? I did my first html based website somewhere around 1989. I am not a pro programmer, but do dabble in this and that. Started in 1980 with Basic run on a mainframe via acoustic modem at Simon’s Rock in Massachusetts. We worked on a dumb terminal, through the phone lines under the Hudson to Bard College… When I took C++ many years later as an adult in college, my lab tech was born in 1980. I have to say that it made me feel old. Then again, I’ve been able to see the amazing changes that the net has brought. I also know people who are entirely not online. And they still survive!

Beside my Spanish Mustangs, I share my life with a wonderful, tolerant husband, two great children and a Schipperke dog.
