This was his actual due date, so he was 4 days early. He is starting to try and get Lily to play with him. She is pretty tolerant, but does let him know when he is too annoying. We had quite a few visitors in the morning and Lily was massaged and petted, which she fully enjoyed. The baby is getting friendly enough to come up for pets in the paddock. Before he would just run away.

In the evening, I introduced my small pedestal to his stall. Lily hopped right up and the baby tried on his own. He had no problem wiht it at all. It was pretty hot, so my daughter gave Lily a bath while I held the baby; then out to the arena for her to roll in the sand. All the other horses on the place are fascinated by the baby, including Paisano.

I highly recommend Allen Pogue's video, Enhanced Foal Training, available at http://www.imagineahorse.com/. The things I am doing with this colt come from his teaching, as do most of the other tricks I do with my horses.
