That wouldn't work with my feeder, as the slanted insert is loose. It would fall out, as would the hay. I guess I am not quite sure what you mean about turning it upside down. How would I refill it? I would have to unfasten it every day and try to flip it over without letting the hay fall out, or am I missing what you mean?

Simrat, turn the barrel upside down before you fasten it to the wall.

LOL...you just gotta love these horses! Lily knew where the extra hay was, hehehe. The hay feeder is a neat idea but I don't think it would work with Ricochet. I believe he would get aggravated too easily with it because he wouldn't be able to get the hay out quick enough. He does well though with the hay bag I have. It is made out of canvas and has a hole in the center which is just perfect for burying half of his head in the hay---and that is how he likes to eat...
Good luck with Cirro's feeding.
