I am in the process of shifting to a new theme. Some customizing will be taking place in the next week, so bear with me… (I ended up back with the old theme anyway….)

In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few photos from last weekend of Lily and Vin test driving a haynet that fits an entire small bale of hay.

I love the new look! Where else did I see this model today? I really like it, and it is easier to follow. And yes, Edward is darling. We just realized he is the spitting image of another JRT on a Petsmart commercial.

The hay net works great, Simrat, as long as you don’t own a horse named Lola Mae, aka a dyslexic’s Jorge. (Yes, I am using the Spanish pronunciation of the American version George and am reversing the order. Say it out loud: “Hay Whore.” There. I said it. Lola lives it. She looks more pregnant than Lily.

Well I have to say I miss the header you had before. The screen size is bigger too and now I have to scroll across to see the far right index. The text in the indexes is too heavy and close together so its difficult to read. I kind get lost and want to look at something else. I like that the photo changes radomly at the top right I can see that being a benefit in shopwcasing your photography.

The goal here is…? A fresh look? To showcase your photos?
Well whatever you choose I’m sure it will be what works best for you. At least you are not afraid to try new things. Not like stick-in-the-mud little ol’ me.

There are definitely things that I need to alter on it. The header is one. I’m working on that. Another biggie is that the categories don’t have drop downs for the sub-categories, like my other theme did. Working on that too. I’m just not great on php yet. ;) This will be my learning opportunity!

I tried reducing the font size in the header, but it also effected some text in my sidebars and caused some overlapping. Again php learning, alone with css. Another thing that I haven’t learned yet.

If anything, I’m a stick in the mud on the coding side. Give me straight old html and I’m happy.

    ;)

As to why… part of me wanted a fresh look and I also like the rotating photos and the general feel of this theme. It’s also better suited to the newer version of WP.

Okay, so I’m back to the old one for a while. I need to work some stuff out before I switch.

I like this one better! First off I love the header! I always enjoy it when I arrive and its a great STAMP of you as a person, mother and your spirituality, your artwork and your photograghy. It speaks well of you.

I have always felt the font weight of the index was kind of heavy. I guess though some would prefer it that way, so its just a preference I guess.

Glad to see this theme back. I still think you can incorporate some of the cool things offered by the “other” theme by adding photo stream wdigets etc.
