Gratitude creates it’s own attitude. It can give you a new perspective, a new focus. I am going to use this day as my opportunity to see those things.
Last weekend, I found two things at a tack sale that have been on ‘my list’ for a long time, a leather lunge cavesson that fits my horses and a set of step in dressage letters! Now I can have a proper dressage arena to practice in anywhere I go that I can find a flat area large enough.
I am grateful that every day, I am one step closer to the SMR meeting. I’ve started a countdown. Today we are 43 days away!
And lastly today, I am glad that, once again, I’m headed up the hill to the mountains and forest this weekend! That is … after seeing the new Star Trek movie on Friday. Officially, I am taking my son and his friend, Sam, but really, who am I kidding?

Take a few minutes today to create your own Thankful Thursday.
How:
Sit back and consider what you have to be thankful for. Listing three to five things is nice, but one will do.
Post about gratitude on your blog. If you don’t have your own blog, go ahead and write about what you are thankful for in the comments here instead.
If you blog, please link back here or leave a comment.
Feel free to tag other bloggers, if you like to do that, but it’s not necessary. This is not a meme that obligates you to do anything, but look for gratitude. Oh, and link back, and comment, that’s all I ask.

Oh, you are so darling, Simrat! I had no idea you were a Trek-y! (I apologize if I have misspelled this well-known term.) Sam is so excited he is beside himself. And I, of course, am very excited to see you and Vinnie.
Are you serious? Only 43 days? I am panicking! Will the round pen ultimately work for your dressage work? I have changed my mind a third time about the posts, and I think we now have the final decision made about which posts are being used. The boys and I are setting them up (although still uncut – maybe this weekend?) so we can visualize the result. I can’t wait!
Have a great Friday night at the movies, and I will see you Saturday!
While I wouldn’t really call myself a hardcore fan, I watched the original TV shows religiously and I’m looking forward to the backstory on those original characters! I’m glad that Sam is excited too.
And the round pen will work for anything I plan to do, which isn’t much. I won’t really have a horse to ride for any sort of dressage demo, unless Anne-Marie will loan me one of hers. Even then, I could look for a flat area in the meadow and set up my new dressage arena letters! So no worries on my account.
I do hope that we can do some work this weekend. I’ve been thinking about the post treatment issue…
